RiskMandate v1.0.0
Internal · design record

Eight marks. One chosen.

The full set of logo concepts explored for RiskMandate, kept as a record of what was considered and why. Concept E, the Seal, was selected and is now the live mark. The others are preserved here with the reasoning that argued for and against each — including the arguments against the one we picked.

Why the Seal won. It is the most institutional of the eight, and it signals counter-signature and provenance immediately to a GRC or insurance audience — which is exactly who reads our output. The cost is real and stated: it skews traditional, and it needs a simplified cut below 24px. We took that trade knowingly.

The original interactive concept sheet, as produced, is preserved verbatim: open the source sheet ↗

The record is the point.

Design decisions age badly when only the winner survives. This page keeps the alternatives and the arguments so the choice can be revisited on evidence rather than memory.
