Eight logo concepts, plus brand & design guidelines
Produced for the startupsummit.io exhibit. Every colour, radius and type stack is taken from the live site's v0.12 :root tokens — nothing invented. Each concept is drawn from something the product does (an interval, a boundary, an index, a countersignature) rather than decoration, and is shown at the sizes that actually decide whether a mark works: as a lockup on both grounds, as an app icon, knocked out with no container, in a UI bar, and at 24/20/16px.

Logo concepts

Pick a direction here.

Each sheet below shows the same mark as a lockup, an app icon, a knockout on dark, and at 16px — the sizes that actually decide whether a logo works.

RiskMandate · brand exploration
Eight marks. One decision.
Each concept is built from something the product actually does — an interval, a boundary, an index, a countersignature — not decoration. Pick a direction; the full sheet for each sits to the right.

RM
A
RM Refined
The mark you already have, tightened. Lowest risk, least distinctive.
B
Interval
Brackets around a part-elapsed bar. Acceptance has an expiry.
C
Aperture
A window closing. The acceptance window is open, then it isn't.
D
Index
Five ascending levels — RAMM, and a ratings-agency posture.
RM
E
Seal
An underwriter's stamp. Most institutional, least software-native.
F
Containment
Blast radius, bounded. Strong idea; risks reading as generic tech.
G
Countersign
Someone signs. Warmest option; hardest to hold at 16px.
H
Record
The receipt an acceptance leaves behind. Quiet, very ownable.
RECOMMENDATION
B (Interval) or D (Index) — both survive at 16px, both say something no competitor's mark says. A is the safe keep-what-we-have option.

Why
Nothing to re-learn. Every asset you already have stays valid, and the mono letterforms carry the product’s record-keeping feel.
Watch-out
It is a two-letter box — the least ownable shape in software. It will not be remembered from across a summit hall.

IndexRAMMPricing
Why
This is the product in one glyph: acceptance is bracketed and it expires. The brackets also echo the mono voice used throughout the site.
Watch-out
Brackets are common in developer tooling; the meaning needs the tagline beside it the first few times.

IndexRAMMPricing
Why
Motion built in — the acceptance window is closing. Reads at any size and animates naturally for the site and booth loop.
Watch-out
Converging chevrons can read as “compress” or “merge”. Directionally ambiguous without context.

IndexRAMMPricing
Why
Maps directly onto RAMM’s five levels and the Insurability Index. It borrows the posture of a ratings agency, which is exactly the category you are claiming.
Watch-out
Ascending bars are the most common chart-shape in the sector. Distinctiveness has to come from the exact rhythm and the two-tone cut.

IndexRAMMPricing
Why
The most institutional option. It signals counter-signature and provenance immediately to a GRC or insurance audience.
Watch-out
Detail dies below 24px, and seals skew traditional — it can make a young company look like a compliance vendor.

IndexRAMMPricing
Why
Blast radius made visible: the agent acts, and the mandate bounds it. Strong at every size and easy to extend into diagrams.
Watch-out
Concentric circles are heavily used in security branding — the closest to generic of the eight.

IndexRAMMPricing
Why
The only option with a human in it. Someone accepts, someone signs, someone owns it — the emotional core of the pitch.
Watch-out
The most fragile at small sizes and the least reproducible in one colour or embroidery. Needs a simplified 16px variant.

Why
Quiet and very ownable. It says the output of the product is an auditable record, and it sits naturally beside the mono type.
Watch-out
Abstract without the name attached; it earns meaning over time rather than on first sight.

Brand guidelines

These pages use concept B as a stand-in so the system is complete.

Every rule holds whichever mark wins — swap the glyph and nothing else changes.

Shown with concept B. Swap the glyph once a direction is chosen — every rule below holds for any of the eight.

RiskMandate
Never recolour. Ink and green only.

RiskMandate
Never re-set the wordmark. 700, never italic.
One-colour fallback
For embroidery, etching and single-colour print: the glyph in solid ink on light, or solid #F7F6F2 on dark. No tints, no container.
Guidelines 02 — ColourPalette.dc.html

Colour
Two grounds carry the brand: ink is where you make the argument, off-white is where you show the record. Green is the only accent that means "accepted".

H3 · 18/24 · 700
A real risk cannot be denied, only accepted — in a direction, by an owner, for an interval. The interval is the decision; naming it turns a worry into something a board can carry.

Voice
You are selling to the person who will be asked to sign. Write like an underwriter, not a startup.
Mechanism, not claim
Every assertion names how it works. "A token bypasses the password and the second factor" — never "80% of breaches".
Terse
Short sentences. One idea each. If a sentence needs a comma to survive, it needs a full stop instead.
Defensible
No certification we do not hold, no percentage without a source, no competitor named. A GRC buyer checks.
Say this
Make your agents insurable.
A real risk can't be denied, only accepted — for an interval, by an owner.

Notes for whoever picks this up. The guidelines pages use concept B (Interval) as a stand-in so the system reads as complete — every rule holds for whichever mark wins; swap the glyph and nothing else changes. Deliberate placeholders: [NAME] [ROLE] [EMAIL] on the business card, and collateral dimensions are indicative until the stand's real measurements are confirmed. The marks are plain inline SVG on a 64×64 viewBox — lift them straight out of this file. Source of truth for these designs is .design-work/*.dc.html in the riskmandate.ai repo (branch claude/dev-session-setup-a5wcc5); the concept sheets are generated by gen-concepts.mjs, where the glyph definitions live.
