Pilots do not fail on results. They stop at the moment the mandate and the grant are put side by side and nobody will accept the gap for a stated interval. Rowan sees the demo; Imani asks the question; Dev answers it from the scope; the pilot is over before lunch.

**Scene.** Rowan, notebook in hand, checking his watch, beaming at a screen where the Caretaker has produced a stack of finished work. **Action.** The pilot's last day: it worked.

**Scene.** Imani in the doorway with her RISK REVIEW clipboard, pen raised. The Caretaker's ring of keys hangs in the foreground, tags visible: envelope, database, calendar, document. **Action.** The question that ends pilots.
