A risk nobody has accepted is critical for whoever holds it. If the holder does nothing for the time the company allows, the risk moves to the person they answer to, and keeps moving until somebody signs. The register would still say open. The chart says moved up.
Scene, action, what is said, and what the caption carries. This is the thing to argue about before anything is drawn.
Scene. Imani hands Leo a small red ball with a tag on it: R5, THE SHARED CALENDAR. Leo takes it, looking at his INCIDENT LOG. Action. The risk is placed.
Day 0. It is his, and it is red.
Scene. Leo's desk, the red ball on it, a wall calendar with seven days crossed off, the ball slightly larger. Leo on the phone, back turned. Action. A week of silence.
Day 7. Nothing is decided. That is the decision.
Scene. The ball rolls up a staircase of desks on its own, past Leo's, onto Rowan's. Rowan looks at it, notebook down. Action. Silence escalates.
Because he is the one Leo answers to.
