RiskMandate v1.20.2
You are a founder

Diligence will find it. You can find it first.

You will be diligenced on your agents before long, by an enterprise customer, an acquirer or an investor. The useful direction is not a posture document that says you are fine. It is the document that says what you can actually reach, written by you, before somebody else writes a worse version of it.

The question

Would you like to know what diligence finds, before it runs?

Why not a posture document

The reassuring version is already free.

Buy-a-posture-document is a solved and crowded problem, and a document asserting that everything is under control is worth what any self-assessment is worth. We are not selling you that. A behaviour policy is useful precisely because it can be unflattering: the delta is computed, so it says what you can reach and did not ask for whether or not that is convenient.

What it does in the room

A row somebody can argue with beats an assurance.

Diligence questions about agents are new enough that most answers are improvised. Arriving with the enumeration already done, including the parts that are not tidy, changes the conversation from whether you have thought about it to which rows matter. The ones that are unflattering are evidence you did the work rather than evidence you have a problem.

Where this goes

It is also the bottom of the insurance chain.

The same document is rung one of three: describe the agent, licence it, insure it. That matters to a founder because the thing an acquirer or a carrier eventually wants is built from this and not from a questionnaire. The chain is set out here.

How to buy one

One thing, at four levels.

Level one is enough to see what diligence will find. Level three is the one where somebody corrects the mandate against your situation rather than a starting assumption. The whole ladder, what each level changes and who does the work is on pricing; the catalogue and the checkout are on the store.

The store takes the order and hands you back here: one page per level, and at level one that page is the download — the zip, its size, its sha256 and a check that runs in your own browser. Payment rails are not built yet, and every checkout button on the store says so rather than looking live.

One agent, to start

Write it before somebody writes it for you.

One agent you already run, enumerated, with the gap computed. It is a file you keep, and it is yours to correct.
